Overview

Explore Belize’s barrier reef the fun way on this snorkeling tour of the protected Hol Chan Marine Reserve. You will be able to swim and snorkel among many different species of fish such as nurse sharks, turtles, stingrays, and a vast variety of tropical fish. Following the Hol Chan Marine Reserve tour we will be headed to the famous Shark Ray Alley where you will be able to snorkel and swim up close with our resident Nurse Sharks and Southern Stingrays our last stop in the water is Coral Gardens before a visit to resident tarpons behind the island to finish our day.

We will be departing from the Rainbow Restaurant dock.

Itinerary

Day 1 :
Half Day Tour

9:00am - Tour leaves Rainbow Restaurant dock in Caye Caulker
9:25am - Travel to Hol Chan Marine Reserve
9:30-10:30am - Snorkel and swim in Hol Chan Marine Reserve
10:45am - Travel to Shark Ray Alley to swim and snorkel
11:15am travel to North channel or Coral Gardens for 3rd stop
11:45pm - travel to tarpon feeding location behind Caye Caulker
12:30 - Arrival back at Caye Caulker dock at Rainbow Restaurant

Afternoon Itinerary 1:00-4:30

Why Reef-friendly sun-screen? And what brands do you recommend?

To help preserve our coral that is still alive, we highly recommend you use reef-friendly sunscreen. Non-reef friendly sunscreen has a lot of chemicals (like Octinoxate & Oxybenzone) that are extremely harmful to the marine life. But not only are they harmful to marine life, these exact same chemicals are also harmful to the human body. So you are actually doing yourself a favor by using reef-friendly sunscreen!

-Sun Bum Original Sunscreen Lotion – Vegan and Reef Friendly (Octinoxate & Oxybenzone Free)
